Hope for Youth, Inc

Educate. Equip. Empower.

HYPE is on a mission to build a network of underrepresented & marginalized girls that plugs the leaky pipeline that currently exists in the tech industry.

We aim to expose students to tech career pathways; provide quality, engaging, & culturally relevant computer science education within safe communities; and empower scholars to grow in civic-mindedness and global awareness through significant & meaningful leadership opportunites.

We understand how to thrive in a virtual learning environment and would love to partner with you to provide computer science exposure and education to your students!

About Our Programs

HYPE offers two programs for schools, non-profit organizations, and individuals:

  1. The HYPE Project - an extracurricular program facilitated over 9 to 12 weeks to help students explore tech careers, learn fundamental computer science concepts, and create fun & inspiring projects.

  2. HYPE Coding Camps - short-term coding camps offered during the summer or other school breaks.
HYPE partners with various stakeholders to create meaningful experiences for participants. We believe that a model of collaboration between HYPE staff, tech industry volunteers, schools & school teachers, and corporate partners is necessary for a functioning and equitable STE(A)M ecosystem!

Thanks to our team, HYPE students are exposed to:

  • Intro to Programming using Scratch
  • Web Design & Front-End Web Development
